Air Bag Deactivation Indicator: Service and Repair

Passenger Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) Indicator









1. NOTE: Ignition must be OFF if disconnecting the PAD indicator electrical connector. Otherwise, a DTC will be set in the Restraints Control Module (RCM) memory and must be cleared before releasing the vehicle.

Turn the ignition OFF and wait at least one minute.

2. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. For additional information, refer to Instrument Panel and Console Instrument Cluster Finish Panel.

3. Release the 2 retainers and remove the PAD indicator.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
