Pinpoint Test 5

PINPOINT TEST 5: THE HEADLAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Step 1-Step 3:

Step 4-Step 10:

Normal Operation
When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEAD- LAMPS ON position, the headlamp switch routes voltage to the multifunction switch through circuit (BR/W). When the multifunction switch is in the LOW BEAM position, the multifunction switch routes the voltage to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit (L/W). The SJB then routes the voltage to the LH and RH low beams through circuits (V) and (GY) respectively. When the multifunction switch is in the HIGH BEAM position, the multifunction switch routes voltage to the SJB through circuit (G/BR). The SJB then routes voltage to the high beams through circuit (V/O) and to the instrument cluster through circuit (BR/R).

Possible Causes
- Circuit (GY) short to voltage
- Circuit (V) short to voltage
- Circuit (V/O) short to voltage
- Circuit (L/W) short to voltage
- Circuit (G/BR) short to voltage
- Circuit (BR/W) short to voltage
- Circuit (BR/R) short to voltage
