Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair

OIL LEVEL INDICATOR AND TUBE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 2.3L









1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See Lifting.






1. Remove the oil level indicator and the upper retaining bolt.






1. Remove the oil level indicator tube.

- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the oil level indicator tube.






1. Remove the O-ring from the indicator ring.

NOTE:Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring before installation of the indicator tube.To install, reverse the removal procedure.
