PINPOINT TEST 5: ONE OR MORE ILLUMINATION SOURCE(S) IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation

Variable voltage is supplied to the illumination source(s) from the instrument panel dimmer switch on circuit (L/W). The headlamp and four-wheel drive (4WD) mode switches are grounded through circuit (B/Y). The cruise control switches are grounded through circuit (B/W).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Headlamp switch
- 4WD mode switch
- Speed control switch(es)
- Steering wheel control switch harness
- Clockspring

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
