PINPOINT TEST 1: NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

Normal Operation

NOTE:The smart junction box (SJB) is also known as the generic electronic module (GEM).With the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, the instrument cluster receives voltage from the SJB/GEM through circuits (Y/O) and (V/GY). With the ignition switch in the OFF position, the instrument cluster receives its keep-alive voltage from the SJB/GEM through circuit (R). The instrument cluster is grounded through circuits (B/W) and (B/Y).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse(s)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Instrument cluster

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
