Pinpoint Test 4: The Delayed Accessory Relay Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly




PINPOINT TEST 4: THE DELAYED ACCESSORY RELAY IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Normal Operation

NOTE:The smart junction box (SJB) is also known as the generic electronic module (GEM).Under normal operation, voltage is supplied to the delayed accessory relay coil and switch internally through the smart junction box (SJB). The SJB controls the coil side ground of the delayed accessory relay and activates the relay when the ignition switch is in the ON position. The delayed accessory relay remains active for an additional 10 minutes when the ignition switch is in the OFF position or until the driver door is opened.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse
- Delayed accessory relay
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Driver window control switch
- Driver window motor
- Passenger window control switch
- Passenger window motor
- SJB
