Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
INPUT/TURBINE SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL]
WARNING:
- A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until then are cool before replacing the ATF.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner component. Service and Repair
3. Drain the ATF. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement
4. Remove the resonance chamber. Service and Repair
5. Remove the control valve body. Service and Repair
CAUTION:
- Do not damage the input/turbine speed sensor.
6. Remove the input/turbine speed sensor.
7. Install the input/turbine speed sensor.
Tightening torque
- 3.9-6.9 Nm {40-70 kgf-cm, 26-60 in-lbf}
8. Install the control valve body. Service and Repair
9. Install the resonance chamber. Service and Repair
10. Add ATF to the specified level. Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) Replacement
11. Install the air cleaner component. Service and Repair
12. Connect the negative battery cable.
13. Perform the mechanical system test. Mechanical System Test
