MAF sensor description
- A hot wire type mass airflow sensor is used.
- MAF sensor signal is used for the following controls and monitors.
- Idle air control
- Fuel injector control
- Electric spark control
- EGR control
- Purge control
- Evaporative system monitor
- EGR system monitor
- The MAF signal may also receive an output voltage signal when air flow does not flow through the MAF sensor.
