ECT sensor description
- The ECT is in inverse proportion to ECT sensor resistance. Therefore ECT is in inverse proportion to ECT output voltage.
- The ECT sensor signal is used for the following controls and monitors.
- Idle air control
- Fuel injector control
- Fuel pressure regulator control
- Electric spark control
- EGR control
- Purge control
- A/C cut-off control
- Electric cooling fan control
- Evaporative system monitor
- EGR system monitor
