Input/turbine speed sensor description
- The input/turbine speed sensor is a magnetic pickup that sends a signal to the PCM that indicates reverse and forward drum input speed. The input/turbine speed sensor provides reverse and forward drum speed information for Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) control strategy. Also, it is also used in determining static line pressure to pressure control solenoid setting during shift.
- The input/turbine speed sensor signal is used for following controls and monitors:
- Shift control
- Line pressure control
- Timing control
- TCC control
- Engine-transaxle total control (Torque reduction control)
- Engine-transaxle total control (N-D/R selector control)
- Slope mode control
- OBD system
