Remote Switch: Testing and Inspection

AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION

1. Switch the ignition to off.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable wait for 1min more.

3. Remove the driver-side air bag module. Driver-Side Air Bag Module Removal/Installation

4. Remove the steering wheel. Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation [Without Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System] Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation [With Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System]

5. Disconnect the audio control switch connector. Service and Repair

6. Verify the resistance and continuity between the audio control switch terminals.
Without Bluetooth system






- If the resistance and continuity are not as indicated in the tables, replace the audio control switch.





With Bluetooth system






- If the resistance and continuity are not as indicated in the tables, replace the audio control switch.











7. Apply battery positive voltage to audio control switch terminal D, and connect terminal E to ground.






8. Verify that the LED illuminates.

- If the LED does not illuminate, replace the audio control switch.
