Notes Regarding Replacement of the AAM (N10)
Notes Regarding Replacement Of The All Activity Module (N10) (AAM)
After the replacement of the AAM, the HHT must be used in order to version code the All Activity Module (AAM) The version coding is menu driven.
NOTE:
- The All Activity Module (AAM) (N10), the transmitter keys and the engine control modules are "married together", meaning that the All Activity module and the engine control module must "learn" the key code of the vehicle Additionally, the AAM learns" the numerous key codes of the transmitter key These assignments can not be changed later on.
Which means that with a defective All Activity Module (N10)
- Order a new AAM, along with a master key, after advising of the identification code from your facing PDC
- Using the HHT, reset the engine control module and allow engine control module to "relearn".
- Additional transmitter keys and replacement of lost transmitter keys requires a "relearning" of the All Activity Control module. The relearning procedure for the new transmitter keys is performed using the HHT To gain access to the menu proceed as follows:
- Body and Accessories - AAM - Control Module Adaption - transmitter key/Transponder
- Only after the relearning process is the new transmitter key useable.
- Prior to using the new transmitter key, the lost old transmitter key must be deactivated. The HHT can be used to determine which keys which are currently deactivated via the Actual Values for the "Drive Authorization"
