1 Test Actuation of Component Y22/6 (Variable Intake Manifold Switchover Valve)

Test requirements
- The vacuum system is leaktight.

Test sequence
- Run the engine for a short time and switch off again.
- Switch on ignition.
- Actuate component Y22/6 (variable intake manifold switchover valve).(Actuate with key F2.)

Specified value
- Look: The rod of the vacuum unit can be seen to operate.(See arrow)

Note: Component M4/3 (engine/AC electric suction fan) runs with an on/off ratio of 50 % during the actuations for safety reasons.

Note! Communication with ECU required.


2 Test Current Consumption of Component Y22/6 (Variable Intake Manifold Switchover Valve)

Test requirements
- Actuation is not okay.

Test sequence
- Switch off ignition.
- Connect socket box.
- (A.3) 3 <--> 68 (E.12)
- Switch on ignition.

Specified value
- Amperage [0.3...0.5] A

- Test internal resistance of component Y22/6 (variable intake manifold switchover valve).
- Y22/6 (variable intake manifold switchover valve)

Test requirements
- Actuation is not okay.

Test sequence
- Switch off ignition.
- Detach the socket at the component Y22/6 (variable intake manifold switchover valve).
- (Y22/6) 1 <--> 2 (Y22/6)

Specified value
- Resistor [20...40] ohms
