1 Test Component M16/7 (Recirculating Air Flap Actuator) By Actuation

Test requirement
- Coolant temperature > 80 °C
- Ignition ON

Note: Component M4/3 (engine/AC electric suction fan) runs with an on/off ratio of 50 % during the actuations for safety reasons.Move on to actuation with F2

Note! Communication with ECU required.


2 Test Internal Resistance of Component M16/7 (Recirculating Air Flap Actuator)

Test sequence
- Switch off ignition.
- Connect 126-pole socket box at engine wiring harness.
- (N3/10) (2.10) 19 <--> 20 (2.11) (N3/10)

Specified value
- Resistor[1...10] ohms

Yes

No
The measured value is not o.k.
Possible cause and remedy
- Wiring between N3/10 (ME-SFI control module) and M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator)
- M16/7 (Recirculating air flap actuator)

3 Test Voltage Supply of The Potentiometers of Component M16/7 (Recirculating Air Flap Actuator)

Test requirement
- At least one of the relevant actual values is not okay.

Test sequence
- Switch off ignition.
- Connect socket box ( 126-pin) to component N3/10 (ME-SFI control module).
- [2.1] 10 <--> 72 [3.39]
- Switch on ignition.

Specified value
- Voltage[4.75...5.25] V
