EX1 - Vacuum Test

^ Attach Rotunda Vacuum Gauge 059-00008 or equivalent to the intake manifold vacuum source.

^ Hook up the Rotunda NGS scan tool 007-00500.

^ Run the engine.

^ Select ENGINE.

^ Select DATA MONITOR AND RECORD.

^ Select RPM.

^ Increase gradually and maintain the engine speed to 2000 rpm with the transaxle in P and the parking brake set.

^ Is the manifold vacuum above 5O8mm (20 in) of mercury?

YES -- No restriction in the exhaust system.
If sent here from Test EG2, GO to EG9. EG9 - Check Test Equipment Calibration

NO -- GO to EX2. EX2 - Vacuum Test, Exhaust Disconnected
