FB5 Check Fuel Pump Valve Leakdown

^ Observe Fuel Handling Instructions in Technician Safety Information section.

^ Release the fuel system pressure. Fuel System Pressure Relief

^ Connect the Rotunda Fuel Pressure Testing kit 014-00748, or equivalent with EFI Test Adapter D87C-9974-A between the fuel filter and fuel rail with both the main and drain valves closed.

^ Key ON. (Fuel pump will run for 5 seconds.)

^ Note the fuel pressure on the gauge for 3 minutes.

^ Does the output fuel pressure decrease more than 55.16 kPa (8 psi) in 3 minutes?

YES -- GO to FD1. FD1 Check Fuel Injection Function

NO -- REPLACE the fuel pump. RERUN Test F1. F1 Perform Fuel Pressure Test
