FD4 Check Fuel Injectors (Cleaning and Leakage)

NOTE: This procedure does not require the matching of injector color with flow gauge band color.






^ Use the Rotunda Fuel Injector Tester/Cleaner Kit 113-00015, or equivalent and accompanying instructions to clean the fuel injectors.

^ With the fuel injector tester/cleaner still installed on the fuel system, note any significant pressure loss due to injector leakage when the tester pump is turned to OFF.

^ Disconnect the fuel rail from the intake manifold. Leave the fuel hoses connected. Key ON. Verify that there is no fuel leakage from any injectors.

^ Is there fuel leakage from any injectors?

YES -- REPLACE the faulty fuel injectors as required.
