System Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Key OFF.
2. Remove the front [1][2]blower motor relay.
3. Using a jumper, connect terminals 1 and 3 of the [1][2]blower motor relay to the battery positive terminal.






4. Measure the voltage at terminal 5 under these conditions.

Terminal 2 Voltage at Terminal 5
Connected to the battery negative terminal 12 volts
Not connected 0 volts

5. Using a jumper, connect terminals 1 and 6 of the [1][2]blower motor relay to the battery positive terminal.






6. Measure the voltage at terminal 7 under these conditions.

Terminal 2 Voltage at Terminal 7
Connected to the battery negative terminal 12 volts
Not connected 0 volts


7. If the voltages are not as specified, replace the front [1][2]blower motor relay. Otherwise, return to the Pinpoint Tests. Pinpoint Tests
