PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) TRANSCEIVER







Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Push the ignition lock cylinder release tab with a punch while pulling out the ignition lock cylinder.

3. Remove the steering column cover and reinforcement.
4. Remove the tilt column handle.
5. Remove the 3 screws and the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
6. Disconnect the PATS transceiver electrical connector.
7. Open the 2 clockspring wiring harness guides.
8. Remove the screws and the PATS transceiver.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
