Normal Operation
The instrument cluster communicates with the scan tool through the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN) communication network. Circuits 1908 (WH) (HS-CAN +) and 1909 (BK) (HS-CAN -) provide the HS-CAN network connection to the instrument cluster and circuits 914 (TN/OG) (SCP +) and 915 (PK/LB) (SCP -) provide the SCP network connection to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster shares the HS-CAN network with the powertrain control module (PCM) and the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module and shares the SCP network with the electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) module or electronic manual temperature control (EMTC) module, the smart junction box (SJB) and the speed control actuator. Voltage for the instrument cluster is provided by circuits 640 (RD/YE) and 1001 (WH/YE). Circuits 1203 (BK/LB) and 1205 (BK) provide ground.
