Test B: DTCs B2009 Or U2510 - Security Status Mismatch Or CAN - Invalid Data For Vehicle Security
PINPOINT TEST B: DTCS B2009 OR U2510 - SECURITY STATUS MISMATCH OR CAN - INVALID DATA FOR VEHICLE SECURITYNormal Operation
The passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver module communicates with the PATS key. The control functions are contained in the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster carries out all of the PATS functions such as receiving the identification code from the PATS key and controlling the engine and transmission enable. The instrument cluster initiates the key interrogation sequence when the key is turned to the ON or START position.
DTC B2009 (Security Status Mismatch) - sets when the instrument cluster and transmission control module (TCM) IDs do not match or have not been sent.
DTC U2510 (CAN - Invalid Data for Vehicle Security) - sets when the instrument cluster and TCM IDs do not match or have not been sent.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Instrument cluster calibration (parameters)
- TCM calibration (parameters)
- Instrument cluster
- TCM
