Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the memory set switch receives ground from circuits 1205 (BK) and 1203 (BK/LB). When the driver seat module (DSM) receives input from the memory set button circuit 270 (BN/OG), the DSM will save current mirror settings using the inputs from the position sensors in the exterior mirrors. When the DSM receives input from the memory set switch button 1, circuit 267 (BR/LG) or button 2, circuit 268 (BK/OG) the DSM will adjust the mirrors according to the stored position.
The DSM receives input on the position of the LH exterior mirror from circuits 951 (DB/WH), 891 (GY/RD), 949 (RD/WH) and 894 (GY) and from the RH exterior mirror from circuits 954 (DG/WH), 957 (PK/WH), 891 (GY/RD) and 958 (GY/RD).
Possible Causes
- An open, short to voltage or short to ground in circuits: 267 (BN/LG), 268 (BK/OG), 270 (BN/OG), 272 (WH/OG), 951 (DB/WH), 958 (GY/RD), 949 (RD/WH), 954 (DG/WH), 955 (GY) or 957 (VT/WH)
