Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

- When removing or installing the manifold absolute pressure sensor, be careful not to apply impact to the sensor.
- Do not reuse the manifold absolute pressure sensor that has been dropped.













INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

]]A[[ INTAKE MANIFOLD/INJECTOR PROTECTOR FRONT INSTALLATION

1. Tighten the intake manifold and the protector temporarily, because they have the specified order.

2. When installing the fuel rail and fuel injector assembly, tighten the mounting bolts and nuts to the specified torque. Service and Repair).

]]B[[ INTAKE MANIFOLD STAY INSTALLATION

1. Temporarily tighten the intake manifold stay with mounting bolt.

2. Make sure that the intake manifold stay is closely contacted with the installation surface of each part, and then tighten the mounting bolt to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 20± 2Nm (15± 1 ft-lb)


]]C[[ O-RING/MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR/EVAPORATIVE EMISSION PURGE SOLENOID INSTALLATION

1. Apply a small amount of new engine oil to the O-ring.

2. Install the manifold absolute pressure sensor and the evaporative emission purge solenoid to the intake manifold with care not to damage the O-ring.

CAUTION:
Do not over-tighten. If the mounting screw is over-tightened, the intake manifold can be damaged.

Tighten the mounting screws to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 4.0± 1.0Nm (35± 8 in-lb)
