RESISTANCE CHECK
Check resistance of AAC valve with an ohm meter as per Fig. 188..
If continuity does not exist, replace the valve.

OPERATION CHECK
1. Remove the valve from the manifold.




2. Apply battery voltage to the valve as shown in chart.
3. Check Idle Air Control Valve (IACV-AAC) shaft moves forward and backward. - If results of both checks are NG, replace IACV-AAC valve.

WARNING:

IACV-AAC valve shaft movement is hard to see visually, but vibration is felt if IACV-AAC valve can be reached with hand.

When IACV-AAC valve is removed or replaced, IACV-AAC valve should be closed by turning diagnostic test mode selector fully clockwise.

There is a possibility that IACV-AAC valve opening angle memorized in Engine Control Module (ECM) does not match the actual IACV-AAC valve opening angle.
