With consult:

OVERALL FUNCTION CHECK
After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.
1. Start engine and warm up Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).




2. Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for Engine Control Module (ECM) with CONSULT.







3. Start vehicle with shift lever in D and throttle opening halfway. Check that vehicle runs through gear shift of D1-D2-D3-D4, in accordance with shift schedule.

With GST:

OVERALL FUNCTION CHECK
After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.
1. Start engine and warm up Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).







2. Start vehicle with shift lever in D and throttle opening halfway. Check that vehicle runs through gear shift of D1-D2-D3-D4, in accordance with shift schedule.




3. Select "MODE 3" with Generic Scan Tool (GST).

Without Consult:

After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.
1. Start engine warm up Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).







2. Start vehicle with shift lever in D and throttle opening halfway. Check that vehicle runs through gear shift of D1-D2-D3-D4, in accordance with shift schedule.




3. Perform self-diagnosis for Engine Control Module (ECM).




Diagnostic Procedure
