DTC P1137 SWIRL CONTROL VALVE POSITION SENSORComponent Description
Swirl control valve position sensor is installed on the intake manifold. The sensor is connected to the front end of the valve shaft of the swirl control valve.
The sensor responds to the valve shaft movement. This sensor is a kind of potentiometer which transforms the swirl control valve position into output voltage, and emits the voltage signal to the ECM.

On Board Diagnosis Logic
NOTE: If DTC P1137 is displayed with DTC P1229, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P1229.
DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE: If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
WITH CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II and wait at least 5 seconds.
If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to "Diagnostic Procedure" below.
WITH GST
Follow the procedure "WITH CONSULT-II" above.
