SYMPTOM: A/T does not shift from D2 to D3 when changing overdrive control switch to OFF position.

1. CHECK OVERDRIVE CONTROL SWITCH CIRCUIT

With CONSULT-II





Does TCM INPUT SIGNALS in DATA MONITOR show damage to overdrive control switch circuit?

Without CONSULT-II
Does self-diagnosis show damage to overdrive control switch circuit?
Yes or No
Yes >> Check overdrive control switch circuit. Refer to 21. TCM Self-diagnosis Does Not Activate (Park/Neutral Position (PNP). Overdrive Control and Throttle Position Sensor [Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor] Switches Circuit Checks).
No >> Go to AT-235, 10. A/T Does Not Shift: D1 -> D3. A/T Does Not Shift: D2 -> D3
