P0745

DTC P0745 LINE PRESSURE SOLENOID VALVE

Description

The line pressure solenoid valve regulates the oil pump discharge pressure to suit the driving condition in response to a signal sent from the TCM

CONSULT-II REFERENCE VALUE IN DATA MONITOR MODE

On Board Diagnosis Logic
Diagnostic trouble code L/PRESS SOL/CIRC with CONSULT-II or P0745 without CONSULT-II is detected when TCM detects an improper voltage drop when it tries to operate the solenoid valve.

Possible Cause
Check the following items.
- Harness or connectors (The solenoid circuit is open or shorted.). Line pressure solenoid valve

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.

WITH CONSULT-II

1. Turn ignition switch ON and select DATA MONITOR mode for ENGINE with CONSULT-II.

2. Depress accelerator pedal completely and wait at least 5 seconds.

WITH GST
Follow the procedure With CONSULT-II.

TCM TERMINAL AND REFERENCE VALUE MEASURED BETWEEN EACH TERMINAL AND 25 OR 48 (TCM GROUND)

Diagnostic Procedure
1. CHECK VALVE RESISTANCE
1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
2. Disconnect terminal cord assembly connector in engine compartment.

3. Check resistance between terminal cord assembly connector F30 terminal A and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> GO TO 2.

2. CHECK VALVE OPERATION
1. Remove control valve assembly.
2. Check the following items:
- Line pressure solenoid valve

- Check solenoid valve by listening for its operating sound while applying battery voltage and ground to the solenoid.
- Harness of terminal cord assembly for short or open
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.

3. CHECK POWER SOURCE AND DROPPING RESISTOR CIRCUIT

1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
2. Disconnect TCM harness connector.
3. Check resistance between terminal cord assembly harness connector F30 terminal 4 and TCM harness connector F56 terminal 2.
Resistance: Approximately 12 ohms
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> GO TO 4.

4. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM

Check the following items:
- Dropping resistor
- Check resistance between two terminals.
Resistance: Approximately 12 ohms
- Harness for short or open between TCM terminal 2 and terminal cord assembly (Main harness)
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.

5. CHECK POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
2. Check continuity between terminal cord assembly connector F30 terminal 4 and TCM harness connector F56 terminal 1. Refer to Wiring Diagram-AT-LPSV.
Continuity should exist.
3. Reinstall any part removed.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 6.
NG >> Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.

6. CHECK DTC
Perform AT-543, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Confirmation Procedure.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> GO TO 7.

7. CHECK TCM INSPECTION
1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection. Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters
2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
