A/T Does Not Shift: D1 -> D2 or Does Not Kickdown: D4 -> D2

9. A/T Does Not Shift: D1 -> D2 or Does Not Kickdown: D4 -> D2

SYMPTOM:
A/T does not shift from D1 to D2 at the specified speed.
A/T does not shift from D1 to D2 when depressing accelerator pedal fully at the specified speed.

1. CHECK SYMPTOM
Are 7. Vehicle Does Not Creep Forward In D, 2 Or 1 Position and 8. Vehicle Cannot Be Started From D1 OK?
Yes or No
Yes >> GO TO 2.
No >> Go to AT-607, 7. Vehicle Does Not Creep Forward in D, 2 or 1 Position Vehicle Does Not Creep Forward In D, 2 or 1 Position
and AT-609, 8. Vehicle Cannot Be Started From D1. Vehicle Cannot Be Started From D1

2. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS

With CONSULT-II





Does TCM INPUT SIGNALS in DATA MONITOR show damage to park/neutral position (PNP) switch circuit?

Without CONSULT-II
Does self-diagnosis show damage to park/neutral position (PNP) switch circuit?
Yes or No
Yes >> Check park/neutral position (PNP) switch circuit. Refer to DTC P0705 PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH.
No >> GO TO 3.

3. CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR-A/T AND VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR-MTR CIRCUIT
Check vehicle speed sensor A/T (revolution sensor) and vehicle speed sensor MTR circuit. Refer to DTC P0720 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR-A/T (REVOLUTION SENSOR) and DTC VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR MTR.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Repair or replace vehicle speed sensor A/T (revolution sensor) and vehicle speed sensor MTR circuits.

4. CHECK THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR [ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR





Check throttle position sensor [accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor]. Refer to DTC P0122, P0123 TP SENSOR and DTC P2122, P2123 APP SENSOR.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> Repair or replace throttle position sensor [accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor].

5. CHECK A/T FLUID CONDITION





1. Remove oil pan.
2. Check A/T fluid condition.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 7.
NG >> GO TO 6.

6. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
1. Remove control valve.
2. Check the following items:
- Shift valve A
- Shift solenoid valve A
- Pilot valve
- Pilot filter
3. Disassemble A/T.
4. Check the following items:
- Servo piston assembly
- Brake band
- Oil pump assembly
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 8.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.

7. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
1. Remove control valve.
2. Check the following items:
^ Shift valve A
^ Shift solenoid valve A
^ Pilot valve
^ Pilot filter
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 8.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.

8. CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> GO TO 9.

9. CHECK TCM INSPECTION
1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection. Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters
2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
OK >> INSPECTION END
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
