B2603 SHIFT POSITION STATUS
Description
BCM confirms the CVT shift selector lever position with the following 2 signals.
- CVT shift selector lever
- Transmission range switch
DTC Logic
DTC DETECTION LOGIC
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. Start the hybrid system under the following conditions and wait for at least 1 second.
- CVT shift selector lever is in the P position.
- Do not depress the brake pedal.
2. Shift to N and wait for at least 1 second.
3. Shift to any other gear other than P and wait for at least 1 second.
4. Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III.
Is DTC detected?
YES - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.
NO - Inspection End.
Diagnosis Procedure
Regarding Wiring Diagram information, Intelligent Key System/Engine Start Function.
1.CHECK DTC WITH IPDM E/R
Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III. SEE DTC Logic.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2
NO - Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
2.CHECK DTC WITH HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III. SEE DTC Logic.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3
NO - Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
3.CHECK TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Place the push-button ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Disconnect hybrid vehicle control ECU harness connector E65 and BCM harness connector M18.
3. Check continuity between hybrid vehicle control ECU harness connector E65 (A) terminal 37 and BCM harness connector M18
(B) terminal 48.
4. Check continuity between hybrid vehicle control ECU harness connector E65 (A) terminal 37 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4
NO - Repair harness or connector.
4.CHECK CVT SHIFT SELECTOR POWER SUPPLY
1. Place the push-button ignition switch in the OFF position.
2. Disconnect CVT shift selector harness connector M23.
3. Check voltage between CVT shift selector harness connector
M23 terminal 8 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 6
NO - GO TO 5
5.CHECK CVT SHIFT SELECTOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect BCM harness connector M19.
2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector M19 (A) terminal 84 and CVT shift selector harness connector M23 (B) terminal 8.
3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector M19 (A) terminal 84 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace BCM. Service and Repair.
NO - Repair harness or connector.
6.CHECK CVT SHIFT SELECTOR CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect BCM harness connector M19.
2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector M19 (A) terminal 87 and CVT shift selector harness connector M23 (B) terminal 9.
3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector M19 (A) terminal 87 and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 7
NO - Repair harness or connector.
7.CHECK CVT SHIFT SELECTOR
B2601.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 8
NO - Replace CVT shift selector. Removal And Installation.
8.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.
- Inspection End.
