B2604 TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH
Description
BCM confirms the CVT shift selector lever position with the following 3 signals.
- CVT shift selector lever
- Transmission range switch
- P position signal from hybrid vehicle control ECU

DTC DETECTION LOGIC
NOTE:
- If DTC B2604 is displayed with DTC U1000, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC U1000. Security System Intelligent Key System.
- If DTC B2604 is displayed with DTC U1010, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC U1010. Security System Intelligent Key System.
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. Start the hybrid system under the following conditions and wait for at least 1 second.
- CVT shift selector lever is in the P position
- Do not depress the brake pedal
- Use CVT shift selector lever to select each gear, one at a time. Wait at each gear position for at least 1 second.
2. Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III.
Is DTC detected?
YES - SEE Diagnosis Procedure.
NO - Inspection End.
Diagnosis Procedure
Regarding Wiring Diagram information, Intelligent Key System/Engine Start Function.
1.CHECK DTC WITH HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III. Testing and Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2
NO - Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
2.CHECK TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect hybrid vehicle control ECU harness connector and BCM harness connector.
3. Check continuity between hybrid vehicle control ECU harness connector and BCM harness connector.
4. Check continuity between hybrid vehicle control ECU harness connector and ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3
NO - Repair harness or connector.
3.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Intermittent Incident.
