Test D: Fuel Gage Accuracy Test
Disconnect Fuel Tank Unit Connector C409 and connect two red clip leads from tester J 33431 to harness connector terminals B (PPL) and D (BACK/WHT) with Ignition Switch in "RUN." Set resistance dial on tester to 0 ohms (E), 44 ohms (1/2), and 90 ohms (F).^ If Fuel Gage responds correctly, check Fuel Tank Unit Connector C409 for proper terminal contact; check Fuel Tank Unit pigtail wiring; if both OK, replace Fuel gage Sender
^ If Fuel Gage does not respond correctly, check PPL (30) and BLK/WHT (251) wiring for high resistance; check in-line Connector C200 (terminal K12) and Instrument Cluster Connector (terminal D16) for proper terminal contact; also check Instrument Cluster screws at back of cluster. They should be clean and tight. If all checks are OK, replace Instrument Cluster
