Floor Pan Insulator Replacement (2-Door)

Removal Procedure

The floor pan silencer sheets are composed mainly of an asphalt material. The silencer sheets dampen noise by reducing the floor pan vibration.





Remove the silencer sheets from the floor pan by scraping the sheets off with a stiff-blade putty knife.

Installation Procedure

1. Install each silencer sheet in its original position and sequence. Butt the sheets together in order to avoid gapping or overlapping.
2. When you install a silencer screen, do NOT enlarge the cutouts or the holes that are used for the attachment of the interior components, such as the seats or the seat belts.
3. Route the cross-body harnesses over the silencer sheet in each harness's original position. Clip the harnesses into place.
These harnesses are used with the following interior components:

* The seat belt warning lamp
* The seat belt warning alarm
* The rear speakers
