Front Side Door Window Replacement (2 Door)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
2. Pull the front door water deflector (2) from the front door in order to gain access to the screws that retain the front door window.




3. Remove the 2 screws (1) that retain the front door window.




4. Remove the front door window (1) from the door.
5. Remove the front door window (1) from the lower sash (6).

Installation Procedure




1. Coat the lower sash (2) with soapy water in order to ease the installation of the front door window (1) into the lower sash (2).
2. Install the window (1) to the lower sash (2). Align the window (1) in the lower sash (2). The distance from the lower sash (2) rear screw to the rear edge of the window (1) should be 262-266 mm (10.32-10.47 in).





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Important: Do not overtighten the front door window screws.


3. Install the front door window to the front door. Secure the window with the 2 screws (1).

Tighten the front door window screws to 5 Nm (44 lb in).




4. Set the adjusting screws so that the measurements between the front door window (2) and the front window channels (1) are equal at the points that the arrows indicate.
5. Inspect the window for the correct front to rear position. Inspect the window for the correct left to right position. Adjust the window as necessary.
6. Apply adhesive to the back of the front door water deflector.
7. Place the water deflector in the normal position.
8. Install the front side door trim. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
