Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan)

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.
2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer toRear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) in Seats.
3. Remove the screws from the carpet retainer led of the center pillar lower trim.




4. Use the J 38778 to remove the rear lower quarter trim panel to body push-in retainers.
5. Remove the rear lower quarter trim panel from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the rear lower quarter trim panel to the vehicle.
2. Install the rear lower quarter trim panel to body push-in retainers. Apply pressure until fully seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the screws to the carpet retainer leg of the center pillar lower trim.

Tighten the carpet retainer screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) in Seats.
5. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.
