Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the rear compartment convenience net. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the lower rear compartment convenience net retainers.
4. Remove the 12-Disc CD player, if equipped. Reference Remote Compact Disc Player Replacement.
5. Remove the rear compartment mat from the rear compartment.




6. Remove the spare tire cover from the rear compartment.
7. Remove the spare tire.
8. Remove the retainers by the rear compartment lock striker.
9. Fold the rear section of the trim panel foreword.




10. Fold each side of the trim panel toward the center of the car.
11. Remove the rear compartment trim panel from the rear compartment.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear compartment trim panel to the rear compartment.
2. Unfold the trim panel sides and rear sections and press them into place.




3. Install the spare tire.
4. Install the spare tire cover in the rear compartment.




5. Install the rear compartment mat to the rear compartment.
6. Install the retainers by the rear compartment lock striker.
7. Install the 12-Disc CD player, if equipped. Reference Remote Compact Disc Player Replacement.
8. Replace the lower rear compartment convenience net retainers.
9. Install the rear compartment convenience net. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
10. Close the rear compartment.
