Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment convenience net and retainers.
3. Remove the OnStar vehicle communication unit (VCU), if equipped. Refer to OnStar Vehicle Communication Unit Replacement in Cellular Communications.




4. Remove the rear compartment mat from the rear compartment.




5. Remove the spare tire cover from the rear compartment.
6. Remove the rear compartment trim panel to rear compartment retainers located near the rear compartment lid lock striker.
7. If equipped with rear split folding seats, remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) in Seats.
8. Fold the left and right side of the rear compartment trim panel toward the center of the rear compartment.




9. Fold the rear of the rear compartment trim panel toward the center of the rear compartment
10. Remove the left and right side of the rear compartment trim panel from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the left rear compartment trim panel to the vehicle.
2. Align the right rear compartment trim panel to the vehicle.
3. Apply pressure to the left, right and rear of the rear compartment trim panel until fully seated.
4. Install the rear compartment trim panel to rear compartment retainers located near the rear compartment lid lock striker.




5. Install the spare tire cover to the rear compartment.




6. Install the rear compartment mat to the rear compartment.
7. If equipped with rear split folding seats, install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) in Seats.
8. Install the OnStar vehicle communication unit (VCU) if equipped. Refer to OnStar Vehicle Communication Unit Replacement in Cellular Communications.
9. Install the rear compartment convenience net and retainers.
10. Close the rear compartment lid.
