CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONThe BCM has an internal voltage sensor that monitors the battery voltage to determine if it is below 18.5 volts.
CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
This DTC shall run only if no communication codes are set.
CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The ignition positive voltage level is greater than 18.5 volts for approximately 5 seconds or more.
ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The BCM sets DTC B1328 and disables the setting of all other BCM DTCs.
The dome light, PWM Dim, SEC, Telltale and chime are disabled.
CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
^ The battery positive voltage level is less than 17.9 volts for approximately 1/2 seconds.
^ A history DTC clears after 100 malfunction free ignition cycles.
^ The BCM receives the clear code command from the scan tool.
DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
This DTC may set when the vehicle is placed on a battery charger, on fast charge, for a long period of time.
