Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure






Notice: Refer to Tape Corners of Panel Notice.

1. Apply tape to the corners of the hood and the adjacent surfaces.
2. Remove the headlamp assemblies. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb Replacement.
3. Remove the fascia to fender bolt (1) and nut (2) from the fascia.
4. Remove the push-in retainers from the top edge of the fascia using the J 38778 .
5. Remove the front bumper fascia to front bumper fascia upper support center bolts.
6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
7. Remove the fog/park/turn lamps. Refer to Fog Lamp Replacement - Front.
8. Remove the push-in retainers from the front bumper fascia to radiator air baffle using the J 38778 .
9. Remove the screws from the front bumper fascia to the front fender liners.
10. Remove the front bumper fascia from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the front bumper fascia to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the fascia to fender bolts (1) and nuts (2) to the fascia.

Tighten the front bumper fascia fender bolts and nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the front bumper fascia push-in retainers to the to radiator air baffle.
4. Install the front bumper fascia screws to the to front fender liner.

Tighten the front bumper fascia screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the front bumper fascia upper support bolts.

Tighten front bumper fascia upper support bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

7. Install the fog/park/turn lamps. Refer to Fog Lamp Replacement - Front.
8. Install the headlamp assemblies. Refer to Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb Replacement.
9. Remove the protective tape that may have been applied during the removal procedure.
10. Install the push-in retainers to the top edge of the fascia.
