Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper
Tools Required
J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front fascia extensions, if equipped. Refer to Fascia Extension Replacement - Front (Fascia Extension Replacement - Front) in Bumpers.
2. Remove the front fender liners. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) in Body Front End.
3. Remove the fog lamps. Refer to Fog Lamp Replacement - Front in Lighting Systems.
4. Remove the bolts (1) from the front bumper fascia (2) at the fender.
5. Remove the push-in retainers (3) from the upper bumper fascia using J 38778 .
6. Remove the fascia bolts (4) from the fascia.
7. Remove the fascia from the vehicle.
8. Remove the grilles from the fascia. Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement (Upper) (Fascia Grille Replacement (Upper))Fascia Grille Replacement (Lower) (Fascia Grille Replacement (Lower)) .
9. Remove the 10 screws from the upper and lower fascias.
Installation Procedure
1. Assemble the upper and lower fascias with the 10 screws.
2. Install the grilles. Refer to Fascia Grille Replacement (Upper) (Fascia Grille Replacement (Upper))Fascia Grille Replacement (Lower) (Fascia Grille Replacement (Lower)) .
3. Position the fascia to the vehicle.
4. Install the screws (4) of the upper Fascia (2).
5. Install the push-in the retainers (3) starting at the center, to the front upper bumper fascia .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
6. Install the bolts (1) to the front fascia (2) at the front fenders.
Tighten the front fascia bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
7. Install the fog lamps. Refer to Fog Lamp Replacement - Front in Lighting Systems.
8. Install the front fender liners. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) in Body Front End.
9. Install the front fascia extensions, if removed. Refer to Fascia Extension Replacement - Front (Fascia Extension Replacement - Front) in Bumpers.
