Lock Actuator Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the 2 screws (3) attaching the actuator assembly (2) to the rear compartment lid (4).
4. Disconnect the connecting rod (5) from the rear compartment lid latch assembly, if necessary.
5. Withdraw the actuator assembly (2) from the keyhole slots in the panel.
6. Remove the actuator assembly (2) from the panel cavity far enough to disconnect the electrical connector (1).
7. Remove the lock actuator assembly (2) from the rear compartment lid (4).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the lock actuator assembly (2) to the rear compartment lid (4).
2. Connect the electrical connector (1) and insert actuator assembly (2) into the cavity panel.
3. Align the actuator assembly (2) to the key hole slots in the panel.
4. Connect the connecting rod (5) to the rear compartment lid latch assembly, if removed.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.


5. Install the 2 screws (3) to the actuator assembly (2).

Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (26 lb in).

6. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
7. Close the rear compartment.
