Drive Belt Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove the engine mount strut bracket.




3. Using a long breaker bar, rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise to release the drive belt tension.
4. Slide the drive belt off of the belt idler pulley (1).
5. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner.
6. Remove the drive belt from the accessory drive pulleys.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the drive belt to the crankshaft pulley, the tensioner and the generator.
2. Using a long breaker bar, rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise.
3. Install the drive belt to the idler pulley (1).

Important: Ensure the drive belt is properly aligned and seated into the grooves of the accessory drive pulleys.

4. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner.
5. Install the air cleaner assembly.
