Diagnostic Fault Information

Circuit/System Description

S13 is the Folding Top Front Location Pin Position switch. The folding top control (FTC) module uses S13 to determine if the folding top is stored in the rear compartment. S13 closes and pulls the signal circuit low when the folding top is not stored in the rear compartment.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The FTC module is being commanded.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

An open or short to ground is detected on the signal circuit of S13.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The top is disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The fault is no longer present and the top completes one cycle.

Diagnostic Aids

* DTC B1010 08 may set in conjunction with DTC B367F.
* A weak battery may cause DTC B367F 59 to set.
* A short to B+ may damage S13.

Circuit/System Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at S13.
2. Test for less than 1 volt between the low reference circuit terminal 2 and ground.

If greater than the specified value, test the low reference circuit for a short to voltage.

3. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Folding Top Downstack Receiver Sw. parameter is In Position.

If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal B for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the FTC module.

4. Connect a fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 1 and ground.
5. Verify the scan tool Folding Top Downstack Receiver Sw. parameter is Not In Position.

If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the FTC module.

6. If all circuits test normal, replace S13.
