Removal Procedure
1. Disable the side impact SIR system, if equipped. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
2. Remove the front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement.
3. Remove the lower rear lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan)Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible) Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible)Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe).
4. Remove the center pillar garnish molding by performing the following steps:
1. Beginning at the top, release the upper garnish molding clips by pulling away from the center pillar.
2. Pull up towards the roof to release the lower garnish molding clips.
3. Remove the garnish molding from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Beginning at the bottom, install the garnish molding.
2. Install the lower rear lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan) Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Sedan)Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible) Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible)Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) Body Lock Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe).
3. Install the front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement.
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
