Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Replacement (Coupe/Sedan)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment deck lid strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Coupe and Sedan) Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Coupe and Sedan)Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Convertible) Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Convertible).




2. With the aid of an assistant, remove the compartment lid hinge nuts.
It is not necessary to remove the lid if replacing only one hinge.
3. Remove the hinge to quarter panel bolts.
4. Remove compartment lid nuts to hinge.
5. Remove the compartment lid hinge.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. With the aid of an assistant, install the compartment lid nuts to hinge.

Tighten the nut to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

2. Install the hinge to quarter panel bolts and nuts.

Tighten the nut to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Install the rear compartment deck lid strut. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Coupe and Sedan) Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Coupe and Sedan)Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Convertible) Rear Compartment Lid Strut Replacement (Convertible).
4. Adjust the compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment Adjustments.
