Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (Sedan)

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
2. Partially remove the front door weatherstrip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Coupe) Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Coupe)Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Convertible) Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Convertible)Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Sedan) Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Sedan).




3. Remove the cover from the garnish trim fasteners.




4. Remove the garnish trim fasteners.




5. Starting at the top, remove the windshield garnish trim by pulling straight out.

Installation Procedure




1. Starting at the bottom, install the windshield garnish trim.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the garnish trim fastener.

Tighten the fastener to 3 Nm (26 lb in).




3. Install the cover to the garnish trim fastener.
4. Install the front door weatherstrip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Coupe) Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Coupe)Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Convertible) Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Convertible)Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Sedan) Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement (Sedan).
5. Enable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
