Fuel Line Replacement - Engine

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (Without CH 48027) Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the engine fuel feed pipe from the chassis fuel flex hose. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.




4. Disconnect the engine fuel feed pipe from the Fuel Rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
5. Remove the two fuel feed pipe fasteners.
6. Remove the engine fuel feed pipe.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the engine fuel feed pipe fasteners located on the engine.

Tighten the fuel feed pipe fasteners to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

3. Connect the engine fuel feed pipe to the chassis fuel flex hose. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
5. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
2. Inspect for fuel leaks.
3. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
4. Turn ON the ignition.

6. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.
