Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover assembly. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.




3. Disconnect the terminal 50 connector (1) from the starter assembly.
4. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal 30.




5. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.




6. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector (1).




7. Using a suitable socket (1), remove the back-up light switch and gasket from the transaxle case.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution)

1. Using a suitable socket (1), install the back-up light switch and a new gasket to the transaxle case and tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).




2. Connect the back-up light switch connector (1).




3. Connect the wire harness to the wire harness clamp.




4. Connect the terminal 50 connector (1) to the starter assembly.
5. Connect the wire harness to terminal 30 and install the nut. Then, attach the terminal cap.
6. Install the air cleaner assembly
7. Install the engine cover assembly. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
