Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.




3. Remove the clips, and disconnect the transmission shift cable.




4. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector (1) and clamps.
5. Remove the back-up light switch and gasket from the transaxle case.

Installation Procedure

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

1. Install the back-up light switch and a new gasket to the transaxle case and tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).





Note: Be sure to use boss B.

2. Install the clamps.
3. Connect the back-up light switch connector (1).




4. Connect the transmission cable with the clips (1, 2).
5. Install the air cleaner assembly.
6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
