Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement - Intake

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector (1).
3. Remove the bolt (2) and remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.




4. Remove the O-ring (1) from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

Installation Procedure





Note: Do not twist the O-ring.

1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring (1) and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly and wire harness bracket with the bolt (2) and tighten to 10 Nm (7 lb ft).
3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector (1).




4. Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt (1) and tighten to 8.4 Nm (74 lb in).
5. Inspect for oil leaks.
6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
